Solid growth in the newly published annual accounts for 2021

With a growth on the top line of 40% and a growth in EBIT of 180%, 2021 is the best year ever for the honoured family-owned company in Ribe.

“For the first time ever we come out with such a great result (EBIT) which in 2021 ends at 15.3 mill. It is not only a comeback from the Corona-affected 2020 accounts, but it is also significantly better than the expectations we had for the year. The success is a mixture of several parameters. Partly we had a backlog from 2020, where many activities were put on pause due to the uncertainty caused by Corona, partly we have made a new marketing strategy and have reached out to more customers. In 2020, we changed the way we sell from physical visits to online "visits", which led to many more meetings with both dealers and end customers. These factors have carried us in the right direction and created growth ", CEO Logitrans, Gitte Kirkegaard says. She emphasises that they are now happy to be able to meet with customers physically again.

“Our biggest challenge in 2021 has without comparison been the break in the supply chains. We have never experienced that it has been so difficult to bring containers from China to Denmark, and never before has it taken so long and been so unpredictable. Our delivery times have therefore been longer than we want them to be, however they are still better than many of the competitors ”, Gitte Kirkegaard continues.

“In total we have had a terrific 2021, also when considering the special challenges of supply chains and price increases. We are very satisfied with the record profit. At Logitrans we all “lift” together and the efforts of the employees determine the result. So THANK YOU to all our talented and dedicated employees. Thank you for your positive approach and thank you for doing your best every day. And not least thank you for a terrific 2021”, says a very happy Gitte Kirkegaard.

In addition to enjoying the fine result, CEO Gitte Kirkegaard is also proud that the past year's focus on green conversion has led to an ISO 14001 certification. Logitrans has worked purposefully to establish a common understanding of the environmental management system and therefore now have a tool to deliver environmental improvement results and to reduce pollution, waste generation and inappropriate emissions into the environment. In parallel, Logitrans has worked with the project “Klimaklar SMV” ("Climate Ready SME"), project ”Grøn Cirkulær Omstilling” ("Green Circular Transformation") and is also part of the Climate Partnership with Esbjerg Municipality.

“We have for a very long time focused on reducing CO2 emissions and green circular conversion, and through this work we are now much more aware of our CO2 emission and how we can reduce it. The work has just started, and we have high expectations and a lot of initiatives in the pipeline. One of the next projects is to make an overall sustainability strategy, which will become part of our overall strategy and a strategy for how we will implement and work with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals."
